View From Heaven (Yellowcard)

"Being different" is a funny concept. In life, we try so hard to become our own creation or masterpiece of what we think is special or unique. We want so badly for people to notice us. We all want attention, in one way or another; may it be the center of attention or just a simple acknowledgment of our existence. Either way, each of us ARE special, unique and different in our own ways. But what actually makes someone different? It seems that "different" is found in a change of perspective, beliefs, attitude and/or character. This is a change from society's view or from our own personal view of lifestyle. We have all been raised differently, our environment has left its mark on us, and the many experiences that we've had throughout our lives have molded us into who we are today. The thing is, we all want to be identified as INDIVIDUALS - we want to be known for WHO WE ARE which begins with WHAT WE DO. THIS is why I am writing this blog. Because my perspective is different from many, and what I do different defines who I am. I am a bro with a blog :)

Over the years I have absolutely loved reading the blogs of many friends of mine. Their insight and perspective on life and the trials/successes that they each have had are priceless and eye-opening for me. I find blogging a great way to share perspective, and I'm down to share mine. I am a completely ordinary person, just like you. I have my many problems, challenges, and weaknesses - counting crappy grammar and punctuation (Guatemala was not kind to my English writing skills, ha). Life isn't easier for me, and it's not any more fun for me either. But I am writing this blog to throw my insights and perspective on this life out there for anybody who wants to read them and understand life through my eyes. Just a heads up, I don't take myself serious at all whenever I try to act "cooler" than I really am, or when I try to say "cool" things. I'm goofy, corky and wayyy too happy. But when it comes to my perspective on life, I get passionate. 2 Nephi 2:25 says, "Adam fell that men might be, and men are, that they might have joy." I hope that through this blog you can know that you're not the only one passing through tough times. We all are, but knowing that our Heavenly Father's goal for us is to have joy on this earth is so powerful. We are supposed to be HAPPY!!! And that's what I plan to share: my peace, my joy, my love.
